Fundraising Project Success!

January 12th, 2013

In November 2012, a 7.4 magnitude earthquake struck near San Marcos, Guatemala, less than 100km from La Florida. The country mourned a disaster that killed at least 52 people in nearby cities and villages. The Finca sustained many damages as well that will have a direct impact on their core business and result in a loss of income.

Thanks to a group of volunteers, an Indiegogo account was created to raise funds that would help repair the damages and minimize the impact to their business. On January 12th, the fundraising project ended, and the goal was exceeded, having raised $5,615 USD.
